firm-stack.

A Claude Code plugin that extends AI with accounting-specific skills. Built by accountants, for accountants.

What is firm-stack?

firm-stack is an open-source collection of Claude Code skills that encode the workflows accounting firms actually run — tax return reviews, month-end close, client deliverables, advisory analysis — in a format AI agents can execute, audit, and improve.

Every skill is a documented procedure with structured inputs, reasoning steps, and review checkpoints. The generic skills are public. Firm-specific configurations — materiality thresholds, GL systems, tax software preferences — stay private to your firm.

Skills in the stack
01

Tax Return Reviews

Structured review skills for 1040, 1120-S, 1120, 1065, 990-PF, and 1041 returns. Each one walks the return line by line and flags what a senior would catch.

02

Close & Reconcile

Month-end close procedures, reconciliation workflows, and fixed-asset tracking. Turn a checklist into something an agent can actually run alongside your team.

03

Advisory & Deliverables

Cost segregation analysis, R&D credit studies, tax memos, client emails. The draft work that eats senior and manager time — now a first pass you edit instead of write.

Open Source,
Open Core.

The framework and generic skills are public. Firm-specific configurations stay private. The competitive advantage isn’t the tool — it’s how your firm uses it.
